Manuel Carvallo

Our founder, Manuel Carvallo, is an actuary with over 30 years of retirement experience serving retirement programs, institutional investors and financial institutions. His experience includes consulting defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans, technical reserves for insurance companies, college prepaid programs and nuclear decommissioning trusts.
In 2012 Manuel founded Hispanic Wealth to serve the wealth creation needs of Hispanics in the United States. During the past six years, Manuel has been focused on the retirement needs of Hispanics in the United States, with particular emphasis on the conditions that affect the immigrant population. Through this work he became aware of the cultural differences that affect different ethnic groups and became a learner of these differences and a life-long advocate of financial literacy.

Manuel received a 2019 P&I Eddy Award recognizing a series of videos which provide financial literacy for immigrants.

Manuel holds a BS in actuarial science from the Universidad Anáhuac.
